Lest anyone think I was extraordinarily lazy about keeping up with my blog on a weekly basis, there was a entry here but I have chosen to take it down. I promise, in the weeks to come, there will be so many more that you will never even miss it.
A writer/photographer/jewelry-maker/multi-tasker/amateur adventurist/people-watcher shares her take on life, hopefully gaining and sharing some insight, possibly making you laugh or cry, and doing her best to avoid boring you with the small stuff.
About Your Author
I am a freelance writer and photographer. I also love to design and make jewelry. I have an undergraduate degree in theater from UCLA, a masters’ degree in business from ClaremontGraduateUniversity and a “single girl survival degree” from many years in the city of Los Angeles. But I'm a Texas girl at heart and Dallas is again my home. I'm addicted to travel and have been all over the world, both for work and for pleasure, collecting adventures, images and story ideas along the way.In my 38 years on this planet, I've been a lot of things, from an actor to marketing and PR director of an international oil and gas company to an self-professed, self-employed creativity junkie.I'm also a bereaved sibling. I lost my younger sister Wendy in 2000 when she was shot and killed during a random robbery attempt in Hollywood. As a result, I'm actively involved in the Brady Campaign for the Prevention of Gun Violence and present workshops annually at the National Conference for the Compassionate Friends, a worldwide organization for bereaved parents and siblings.I believe wholeheartedly, as did my sister, that life is short, and that you should do what you love. I love, among other things, apple pie, my dog Jasper (and my past puppies, Alex & Chloe), my family, the tapping sound of a keyboard, reading good books, Canada in the winter, London in the Spring, and a good adventure anytime...
